Speaker details

The speaker is Roland Potthast who will be running a training session on AI/ML methods. This will comprise a mixture of lectures and hands-on activities.

Roland has a couple of roles:

  • Professor of Applied Mathematics, at the University of Reading; and,
  • Head of Department of the Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) group at Deutscher Wetterdientst (DWD – the German Weather Service).

Location & travel

Room PV185 in the Polly Vacher building (number 38 on the central campus map).

Enter the building using the door opposite the Maths building, then follow the signs to the room.
